Hotel Vera, located at 710 Sturt Street in Ballarat’s historic heart, has opened after four years of development. It features seven personalized suites and is also home to award-winning restaurant, Underbar. Hotel Vera focuses on curated interiors, hand-selected amenities, and commitment to sustainability.
Owners Martin Shew and David Cook-Doulton prioritize eco-friendly practices and environmental integrity. They lovingly restored a historic building, recycled demolished materials, created gardens, installed EV chargers, and partnered with local social enterprise Fifteen Trees to plant 250 trees to help offset the impact of the hotel build.
